Waco is inundated with barbecue restaurants, and I was growing tired of them, until Dickey's came along. Every on in Waco has their own favorite, and since Dickey's came, it is slowly becoming mine. For one thing, it does not have that intense barbecue smell that many restaurants have. The meat was fresh and a generous portion was on the fresh rolls.

The condiments bar was also well-stocked with this lime-green banana peppers I like, as well as onions, pickles, and nice sized lemon slices without too many seeds.

The meat server also gave us a nice pile of fat and discards for our beloved dog, Raji. She is getting use to us coming home with a white container. That usually signals a treat for her!

A great place for a quick lunch that does not feel like fast-food.
