Dinner -- 8/28/08

Best Asian Buffet
565 Westview Village Shopping Center
(Between Waco Drive and New Road on N. Valley Mills Dr.)
Waco, TX 76710

254.741.9999

Ramona: Egg drop soup, fried rice, honey chicken, sesame chicken, shrimp, crab, iced tea

Jim: Wonton soup, sushi, chicken, beef, shrimp, crab, veggies, egg roll, iced tea

We detected a slight drop in the quality of some of the dishes since our last visit. My egg roll was a bit soggy, and Ramona was not impressed with the coconut shrimp. But on the whole, this is still the best Buffet of Asian food in Waco.

Jim's Fortune: "You shouldn't overspend at the moment, frugality is important."

Ramona's Fortune: "An unexpected reward awaits you tonight."

My husband & I decided to give this new place a try and were very disappointed. It was very much like any other oriental buffet in town--nothing special--only alot smaller and fewer choices. I certainly do not think it is the "best Asian Buffet". My vote still goes to Summer Palace.

My hubby and I ate here, and absolutely hated it. In addition to the poor quality of food, the owners/servers couldn't communicate with us, because nobody spoke English. I had a very simple question ("Is this locally-owned?"), and nobody would answer that.

Best Asian buffet for us is Cathay House on Sunday....hands down!

We ate lunch today at Best Buffet and were very disappointed. The egg drop soup tasted like hot water. The food was mostly cold and tasteless. When we told the waitress about a hair in my food, she seemed not to care or understand. We won't return.
