Ramona: OJ, 2 poached eggs, baked pork loin, grits and onion gravy, biscuit, coffee

Jim: tomato juice, 2 eggs, sunny side up, house made sausage, hominy grits, toast, coffee

Hominy Grill is one of our must stop dining spots in Charleston. The best hominy grits and the best breakfast anywhere. The restaurant is small and homey. The food is fresh and well-prepared. Jim especially liked the sausage, and Ramona's pork loin was tender and tasty.

The coffee, a blend of Kona and Guatemalan beans was delicious. We also bought a half pound ground for home use.

Andrea was an excellent server, too! There is also an garden out side in the rear. We ate outside last year, so we went with an inside table this year.
