Ramona: Lasagna Salsiccia

Jim: Chicken Parmigiana

Shared: Fried calamari with marinara sauce, Villa Pozzi 2007 (Italy)

One of our last dinners in Louisville is this visit to a first-rate Italian restaurant owned by the same man who owns Saffron's Persian Cuisine. The atmosphere was elegant, and the decor was exquisite. Our table faced a wall length mural of a scene from Venice. The music was Italian classics.

The dinner was fabulous! Chicken Parmigiana is my favorite Italian dish and this was one of the best I have ever had. Volare's version included two large chicken breasts and a generous portion of spaghetti with sauce. Ramona's Lasagna was tasty and had just the right amount of spices.

We looked at the dessert menu, and could not decide among the seven offerings. We decided that was an omen, because we were too stuffed to fit anything in there anyway.

Now we have a problem. The next time we come to Louisville, where do we go first?
